Okay. I admit it. I primarily use my Friend face Facebook account to play the little games. One of them is Café World. There’s this thing going on right now, they’re calling it Supreme Cuisine. I suspect it’s meant to be a sort of homage – or rip-off, depending on your point of view – of the Iron Chef TV show. Two cuisines are selected for a culinary showdown – this particular round features Hearty Italian vs. Classic French – and players pledge their allegiance to one side and then cook their hearts out to earn points for their team. I like these sorts of things – did you know I’m a bit competitive?

I have sided with the French on this one. So far we are losing, but not by a large margin – it’s pretty close to being even. I’m contributing as best I can, though in the grand scheme of things it’s probably pretty small, since my café is small, since I need more friends to be able to expand using in-game currency, and paying real money for it is something I am not willing to do.

One of my friends who also plays the game is also lending her support to the French, so I can see her progress on my screen. So far she has contributed nothing.

Now, I realize that this is just a game, and how it pans out has absolutely no bearing on things in my life that are, you know, real, and the fact that my friend isn’t really contributing to our team should be interpreted as her being busy with real life things, like her job, or her family.
